Donations we need ...

The Carnival is made successful by the generous donations we receive from local businesses and Cedar Ridge families and teachers.

Here are the Carnival events we need donations for.  If you can help or if you have ideas or suggestions, please contact one of the coordinators listed below.  Forms will be sent home and posted on this web site in February or March.  Thanks in advance for your help!

Classroom Theme Baskets:

More than 35 HUGE theme baskets, one from each classroom, are auctioned off each year at our carnival. Each classroom is assigned their theme in January. This year we have several fun new themes, including "Strive for Five", "Go Green", and "Stay-cation". Parents are asked to donate items related to their child's classroom theme. Each classroom should also have a theme-related "basket" to display all their items. For example, if the theme is "Girls Rule!" parents may get together to purchase a toy chest or a ride-in Barbie car.

Please see the Theme Basket web page for more information and for specific donations by classroom

Theme basket donations can be dropped off at the school starting in February.

Silent Auction & Raffle:

We need your help in getting some fun and exciting items or "experiences" for our Carnival's Silent Auction & Raffle.

For the Silent Auction, we appreciate a wide variety of new items and gift certificates for kids and adults.  Past silent auctions have included items such as toys, jewelry, household items, sporting goods, apparel, artwork, and computer software as well as gift certificates for local restaurants, stores and services.

For our Raffle, we need 4 or 5 "special" items - like a bike, personal DVD player, small TV, GameBoy, PlayStation, etc.  Consider asking some friends to share in the cost of one of these great raffle items.

Here are some other suggestions ...

  • Do you have new, unopened gifts you're not quite sure what to do with?  Why not give them to us to auction off?  As long as they're brand new we would love to have them!

  • Do you have a condo, cabin or vacation place?  Why not consider auctioning off a weekend or week at your special retreat?  We can create a certificate that includes any terms you would like.

  • Are you an in-home consultant or do you own a business or work for an organization that sells or manufactures retail items?  Why not give us one of your products as well as your business cards or brochures to display?

  • Do you have "connections" to a pro sports team, an entertainment venue, a celebrity or a restaurant?  Why not get some tickets, memorabilia or gift certificates for us to auction or why not donate an "experience" such as lunch with a celebrity or an autographed item?

The only restrictions we have are that items must be new and we cannot accept homemade food items.

Donors will be recognized in our auction catalog (unless the donor wants to remain anonymous).

All donations are tax deductible.  Tax receipts are issued by request only.

Silent Auction & Raffle donations can be dropped off at the school or at a coordinator's house in March or you can give us a call or send us an e-mail and we'll pick them up from you.
